Mark Johnson opened the Law Office of Mark B. Johnson in Andover, MA in 1986. The firm has grown from one attorney and one secretary to seven attorneys, six paralegals and a support staff of three. Mark and Don Borenstein, who joined the office in 1997, formed Johnson & Borenstein, LLC in 2005. Our team includes attorneys admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and the District of Columbia.
Professional expertise, personal commitment.
Our unique blend of practice areas and extensive expertise allows us to provide our clients with well-rounded and expansive representation. The same staff members work with each project from beginning to end, providing continuity as well as multiple points of contact for client questions and issues in a cost-effective manner.
This structure also allows the staff members assigned to the project to get a "big-picture" understanding of the project. This valuable point of view can be easily overlooked when tasks within a case or project are assigned to compartmentalized employees. Johnson & Borenstein's approach ensures that we never lose sight of our clients' goals.
Our 100+ years combined experience enables us to handle real-estate based projects from the typical permitting case to those which are unusual or require a special understanding of unique legal areas. For complex title matters we use a reputable and experienced Land Court Title Examiner, with whom we have a 10+ year relationship, to ensure our clients get the best representation. In addition, we are agents for five different title insurance companies; this allows for creative title underwriting when necessary and a thorough understanding of the issues involved in title insurance defense.
